In the rains, this earth will soften
chairs will just rock
and blinds will open themselves.

-Sheets will hold only warmth:
  lights illuminate the face
  you have come to love
as you lay and listen to the
sky drumming on the roof

In the house, doors will contain solace
vases just shine of flowers
and stairs will lead you upwards.

-Suns will glance upon your roof:
open windows will sing like birds
and you know the song by heart
“I see skies of blue, clouds of white,
bright blessed days, dark sacred nights.”

Dream a little dream
and you’ll know it’s true...

It’s simply wonderful

I wrote this for a woman I met in the hospital. She said she could find something to hurt herself with in every room.

I changed 1 line...it's not much but I think it alters the feeling.

I wonder if my own writing will become like yours in the distant future of mine.

Strive to be your own sound fellow writer. This sound, as pleasing as it may read, has cost me a lot. I've spent countless days stoned, dusted, drunk, lonely, in love, dull, dazed, etcetera. All the while reading and reading and reading, while I was inhebriated. So many brain cells, so many missed moments... Anyways embrace what you've got; your words will grow into their own beauty.

this made me smile immediately after finishing it. completely gorgeous and deeply moving. i think one of my favorite parts of your style is your choice of verbs..."the suns glance, vases, shine, the sky drumming..." very creative. well done, once again.

You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.
I aim to please, and just because I'm habitually self-serving I aim to please myself. If it makes you smile in the process then I've trumped my goal. Thanks for the comment, more pretty verbs to come.
